During autumn and winter days we enjoy less day light, this can lead to low mood and sometimes Seasonal Affective Disorder  (SAD).  Using mindful preparation techniques and self help mechanisms can help us to stay upbeat, staving off mental health concerns and ensuring a happy, healthy autumn/winter season.

Why not invest a little time into refreshing your diary / visual planner.  Planning and co-ordinating life ahead of time keeps us focused, forward thinking and feeling organised and in control, even if things feel hectic or at times dull.

A bright bold visual schedule gives a positive framework.  Including the must do tasks and building in fun treats in the form of pleasant appointments and happenings keeps us looking forward with purpose and a spring in the step!

For those who are ‘time rich’, stay up beat and alert by adding a couple of essential tasks in every day and stud your week with feel-good activities to look forward to.  Include a brisk / gentle walk or trip out to take in the seasonal changes, smells, sounds and sights.  A cuppa with a friend to exchange news, enjoy a laugh and schedule in your next meet up! Make sure your diary has a note of your next wellbeing session with your friendly massage therapist (😊 that’s me 😊)

Massage promotes the release of all the bodies feel good hormones, staving off low mood and creating calm relaxation while enabling the body to rebalance and recharge.
